Astray
2023 - in progress

The photographic series Astray, the fourth chapter of the project Beyond the Visible, arises from a reflection on moments of change and transformation.
The images, set within suspended and constructed scenarios, open onto spaces that do not belong to a real place, but to an inner dimension.
Here, reality and imagination do not overlap; rather, they coexist, giving form to essential situations in which figures, objects, and architectural elements appear isolated or gathered into minimal presences.

Every detail, from the concentrated light to the scale of the elements, contributes to generating multiple, and at times contradictory, readings.
These are not linear narratives, but autonomous images, in which emotion does not precede thought and meaning remains open to the viewer’s experience.

In Astray, being lost is not presented as a sudden rupture, but as a condition to be crossed. The images do not indicate a direction nor propose a resolution; instead, they remain in a state of suspension, where connections to home, to community, and to the other become fragile and provisional.

The series is a work in progress.
