Anna Di Prospero (Rome, 1987) is an Italian photographer.
She studied photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Rome and furthered her training at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Her artistic research develops through long-term projects, in which photography becomes a tool for investigating the relationship between the individual, space, and the perception of reality. Much of her work is based on self-portraiture, understood not as an autobiographical representation, but as a performative gesture. The presence of the artist within the image intervenes in the construction of the scene, rendering space an experience and a perceptual condition.
She has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, presenting her work in international contexts such as Les Rencontres d’Arles, Month of Photography Los Angeles, the Triennale di Milano, and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. She has received several international awards, including the International Photography Awards and the Lucie Awards.
In 2022, her first monograph, Nei miei occhi, was published by Contrasto. In the same year, she produced the series La Memoria delle Stazioni on commission from Archivio Luce Cinecittà, becoming the first woman photographer to be included in the archive.
